According to eyewitness reports they achieved this by leaning heavily on the unit before simply ejecting the disc and doing a runner from the convention centre - possibly not how Snake would have done it, but apparently effective.
Anyone else find it ironic that the source code for a game dedicated to stealth was stolen by brute force? :D

Geebus, what is going on with security in the gaming world?

Maybe the Patriots are behind these thefts.

The LAPD are investigating the incident and are looking for two 19-20 year old males.
That only narrows it down to about 95% of the E3 con-goers.

Truly the detectives are Sherlock and Dr. Watson grade. Maybe they should check MegaTokyo.com for the idiot posting there about what he swiped at E3 and is now "l33t".

It wasn't the source, just the E3 demo.

Stupid misinformation laden thread.

Thank Darwin for that, I'd hate to see MGS3 pushed back because some tit swiped the code and could do all sorts with it.

That's actually rather young. Remember that E3 is an industry only trade show and isn't open to the general public.

To quote Dalton: "I invite you to eat my feces". :P

EDIT: BTW people, this is a funny story, but it really isn't a big deal. The theif only got the same footage that Konami has already shown off to the public, so it isn't like they can do anything but replay the same limited sections over and over.
