Rather odd internet problem
For some reason lately I've been having a hard time loading any page with pictures, it doesn't seem to apply to site with only a few. Instead of loading the pictures in reasonable amount of time it'll grin to nearly a halt. I don't know why. I'm currently using Firefox but it was occurring before I switched.
Any ideas what it might be?

Try pinging a reliable site (like, say, Google) several times. In Windows, you can do this by typing "ping -n X www.google.com" where X is the number of times you want to try to ping (20 would be a good number to try it out with.) In Linux or Mac OS, just leave the ping run for a minute or two. Check to see if you get large numbers of lost packets. That could indicate a problem with your connection.

The thing is though it's only happening in the case of pictures, particularly .jpgs.

That shouldn't cause a problem for the site should it?Drooling Iguana wrote:Try pinging a reliable site (like, say, Google) several times. I was just having that problem this afternoon. I unplugged both the modem and router for about half a minute, plugged them back in, and the problem was gone.

But for whatever reason AOL's bugging me. And I tried pinging them so I'm a bit more concerned about that the whatever the problem was then.
