You are highly encouraged to take a look at the Apache Documentation to get a basic understanding of the Apache 2.0 Server.
Then again, stuff labeled as "unstable" often isn't in practice. I'm running a server on Apache2+PHP4 (using CGI though, not module) + 2.6 kernel on Debian unstable, so meh.
