1 GB freemail is for wimps, how about 1 TB?

Well, 976 GB... close enough.
"youvegotpost.com"
I can only imagine that they'll die within a few weeks, seeing as how Something Awful has already found them out. Should be a fun ride in the meantime.

Or perhaps now, the link is dead.

Try it again. (I fucked up the link.)

I'll say it again.

Damn, this is awesome. So many things I deleted could've been stored here.
Edit: I notice in the TOS, it's only for Canadian residents/citizens? Hopefully, it's not so!

If you signed up, look in your folders section.

WHY does anyone need 1TB of e-mail space? Can you possibly get that much spam post within a lifetime?!

Their thinking of using it for online/piracy storage.

Remember when, in school, they told you that there's no such thing as a stupid question?
They lied.

I believe in the future, e-mail shall start coming in the range of one gigabyte a piece and we are preparing for it.

Didn't Google announce Gmail would be boosted to 1 TB?

Allow me to show you some similar questions:
"WHY does anyone need to buy a game the day it comes out?"
"WHY does anyone need wait in line for days to see a cool movie?"
"WHY does anyone need pay hundreds of dollars to buy a team jersey?"
"WHY does anyone need a Hummer?"
You sir, are clearly reasonable, and not a megalomanic. I do not see why you are a member of this board.
People like me don't need a reason. We just do it because we can. Why else do you think I swapped out the motor in my old lawnmower- from 6 horsepower to 30. Sure, it was near impossible to control, and annihilated the flowerbed before jamming and almost falling apart, but it was FUN. And that's all that matters.

Think like Tim "the toolman" Taylor. Do you need a reason to get cool shit?

Seems too good to be true. Anyone remember free internet?
Besides, I'm happy with yahoo+fetchyahoo perl script into my local inbox. I would never be able fill one TB over dialup in my lifetime anyway.

That's weird, I have the same thing, but before it listed around 976GB.

My ego is somewhat hurt...
I guess I shall shut my goddamn mouth and get me some storage which will come in handy. I expect the next few years will see spam movies coming in. Want to buy the new Viagra beater? Watch this sample porn movie collection!
I read the ToS, seems to be some new UK company who obviously are BATSHIT INSANE enough to give everyone a tape-drive sized portion of memory for e-mail.
Fuck Hotmail, I'm getting this.

Perhaps so, but at least it's still better than hotmail.

Perhaps you could operate your whole computer out of that?
Eg: Hold games in you email account, and just download them back to you computer when you feel like playing it?

I'm only getting 20MB also. Guess someone fucked up.

UPDATE: It seems that the people running this email host are complete idiots, and that Something Awful forumites advanced the inevitable downfall of an incompetantly-managed site whose webmaster reads your email, then denies that there is any "international law"; whose webmaster bans and deletes any accounts pertaining to Gmail in any capacity, and lies very often.
For the goons here at SDnet, the relevant thread is in the SH/SC forum.
