FFVII

I think am the only person I know of which has actually LOST FFVII. I don't mean died either (well that was part of it). It was towards the end of the game, I left the PS on for a few days (I was working), came back fought the ruby monster and died. The saved game screen which is normally blue was now a blood red saying the reunion has taken place, and it would not let me pull any of my saved games up. I in a panic reset the playstation, and all was normal.

I don't know how I did it, I have not been able to repeat it, but has anyone else done this? To my knowledge I am the only person.

...

I've never heard of that happening.

That is... very odd. Well, I guess it makes a certain degree of sense. AVALANCHE was working on a timeline in the game, meteor would drop soon... I guess you need to get a few DAYS worth of game play time up for it to happen, though.

I imagine there will be plenty of people leaving on thier PSs, trying to copy what you said right here.

Were you...high...at the time? I've never, ever heard of something like that being possible.

How? I mean, you're supposed to still be able to raise Chocobos, get the Master Materia, etc. That must take a long time... Just sounds weird. Shoulda gotten some pics bro. :)

He could have been playing for hundreds of hours before leaving it for the few days.

Though I rather like the concept of the time limit.

I like it, too. QFG has that sometimes (most notably II and IV, though I think III as well, not sure about I and never played V) as well. It is realistic, but I wonder how well it works in a Final Fantasy game.

And man, that must take a lot playing.

Don't they have a pause function in that? Usually in FF's, the pause stops time completely.

I don't think it does in FFVII.

I don't buy it, I would have to see this duplicated.

This would mean that the programmers purposefully put this in. And think: How many people in the world have accidentally left their PS on for extended periods of time?

Any chance you could mail someone at Square or repeat it again? i'd be curious to see screencaps.

It's quite obvious that his game was possessed and he was actually taking control of these real characters on a real world somewhere in the cosmos.

Well done, you've doomed us all!

I've never heard of this, and I know of people with literally months of play time on one file. It could be due to leaving it with no inputs for a long tme, or on the game over screen long enough.

(although I would question that 'reunion has taken place' business, of course the reunion had taken place, that was at the end of disc 2, before RW appears)

I'm tempted to file this in the same drawer as the resurrection of Aeris

When he says "reunion", it could be when Meteor impacts the planet and where Jenova and Sephiroth are together.

Nah, reunion was a pretty specific term in FF7. It might be a programming relic from an earlier version of the game. Or it might be something I havent thought of.... or it could be a lie.

Of course they are still rattling on about Reunion in Advent Children...

I have not had the chance to do that yet, as I only recently got the game,
and am nowhere near the end. Plenty of people say this is a just a great
game, to me it is only average so far, I hope it gets better.

I was not on drugs, I am not lying about it. I do not care if you believe me or not, I just want to know if it has happened to anyone else? If so, how can it be repeated?

try leaving your playstation on for days at a time again? what part in the game were you working at the last time it happened?

I feel slimey for associating with FF, but i suggest you ask around at tthe Gamefaqs boards or check out the FAQs, they have hordes of screaming fanboys that may know the answer.
