How the freaking heck do I get my bookmarks in firefox to just sort alphabetically and with the folders at the top? The edit bookmarks thing is more or less useless for that as far as I can tel.

Make sure you have at least one seperator. Drag your folders above the seperator. Do this after you sort alphabetically.

And the Sort by Letter is in the Bookmark Manager under View.

I know, but it won't sort the booksmarks themselves in the pull down menu.

In the bookmark editor, select the root bookmark directory ("Bookmarks") and go to the View menu. Select Sort By name. It will sort folders and then separate bookmarks alphabetically. Unfortunately, you have to do this with each sub-folder, too.

I have a similar question. For some reason, all my IE imported bookmarks disappeared a few days ago. Is there any way to re-import them besides uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox?

For the last time, no it doesn't. As I said to Dalton, that's not working.
