AOL Help please...

My freind recently upgraded his phoneline to Broadband, in preperation for getting his modem but has yet to receive his modem, but he was until yesterday able to log on normally. Now it says that he cannot log on with his phone number, which has not changed atall. Can anyone think of a solution to his current problem?

What's the actual error message? Have their been any additions to the phone line, like call waiting?
Has he tried a different access number?

It just says that he can longer log on with HIS phone number, and he has tried all access numbers, to no avial whatsoever

Have they already cancelled the account or something like that maybe?

i dont think so, because it still logs on, but then logs him off, saying his phone line cannot be used for some reason... it only stgarted after the upgrade.. how bizzare..

Sounds like they switched it over. He needs the modem.

Well, at least on the bring your own access plan you could still sign onto AOL access numbers.
