How does one get a microphone working?

Post by Gandalf »

I bought a new mic today to go with the language program mentioned in another thread, it didn't come with anything resembling a manual.

How would I go about getting it working?

Just by plugging it into the MIC socket of your PC. Open "volume control" select "recording" in the properties panel, and you will see the volume var, mute, etc (usually this is not necesary as any application using a Mic will do this automatically as needed)
