Mystery XP accounts..

Post by GoldenFalcon »

On my Thinkpad, I installed IBM's Hardware security software. Works fine and all, but when I go to select users to use for its logon feature, I see several weird accounts:

ASP.NET Machine Account
HelpAssistant
SQLDebugger
SUPPORT_(really long number here)

I run XP Professional.
Babylon 5: In the Beginning quote:

General Lefcourt: "My people can handle themselves. We took care of the Dilgar. We can take care of the Minbari."
Londo Mollari: "Ahh, arrogance and stupidity all in the same package. How efficient of you."

If memory serves, the support one is the account Remote Desktop uses. That one is perfectly fine to disable. Same with the Guest account. Just be sure and rename "Admin" or "Administrator" to something else to keep the script kiddies at bay.
