Nominate your favorite for best WWII "grand" strat

Post by BlkbrryTheGreat »

Electronic games only, no board games. Nominations will be made into a poll at a later date.

My nomination is PTO II. While limiting itself to the Pacific Theater only, it has, in my opinion, the most realistic combination of economy, "politics", and military simulation out there. At least of what I've played anyway
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

Best and only WW2 strategy type game that I've played on computer is Blitzkrieg. Its pretty cool. You don't go around building shit and upgrading stuff like other RTS's and you have to use more realistic combined arms tactics to fullfill your objectives.

Hearts of Iron, mostly because it's about the only one I've ever played, and partly because it was just damned fun.

Only one I've played is Hearts of Iron, but I'll still nominate it because it was fun, and seemed realistic enough, especially what with the modding community out there tweaking it.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Hearts of Iron, though it would be grand if based off of hexes not EUII engine province based map bullshit. I demand my movement to be at once and realistic, the attack should be begin when you begin to move not a week later.

HoI. I love it, especially when we got 7 people at once playing it.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
