Cormyr D&D Game

I'd been planning to run a game based in Cormyr for some time now, but real-life keeps getting in the way, of course, but now that work/vacation/moving has died down, now is the perfect time. Rules are pretty simple: Any normal-PC race is in, as well as any races with a +1 ECL adjustment. You get the maximum starting gold for you class, and stat-generation is point-buy. Starting level is 2 (or 1 for those with an ECL adjustment.) Any non-evil alignment is permitted. Anyone wishing to include specific items/classes/races that do not appear in the DMG, FRCS, etc, will have to forward their requests to me, along with detailed information on it.

Synopsis: Cormyr is in a period of duress. Due to ever expanding outside threats such as the Zhentarim, and internal strife between noble houses, Alusair Obarskyr, the famed Steel Regent, has put forth a call for mercenaries willing to aid Cormyr and her allies in the perilous times ahead.

Blah, were I not so busy I might join in with my Gnomish Paladin, at the very least to annoy the shit out of everyone and to see how well I can stomach D20 in its P&P form.

Dooooo it. Just for the sake of a demon, a holy man, and a jedi in the same party.

Three people who are total wise-asses.

If I want to do something else, I will do something different, not the same thing with a different name and a mandated two weapon fighting style. :P

Munchkin class?
Seriously, though, I'd say stick with a paladin, or perhaps a cleric.

Yeah, I guess I'll do a paladin again. (To all of you who were not in the last FR game: Don't worry, I don't play my paladins as fundies with sticks up their asses. That's no fun for anyone.)

I'd join, as my ageing soldier-turned-cleric. Rogue 9, you'll be pleased to know that this character is not, in fact, evil!

Aly: Jedi
ABFF: Monk
R9: Pally
Dahak: Psi Warrior
Thirdfan: Cleric

Well, i'll be damed, we actually have a balenced party.

Out of morbid curiousity, how do you intend to balance a Jedi into D&D? The damage models are different, the skills are different, so on and so forth.

You'd have to sell the GM on whatever book it was that had a bunch of monster classes that leveled them up through their HD and level adjustment, seeing as a baseline Monster Manual Mind Flayer is something like an ECL of 14 all told.
You would then have to survive for twelve levels of advancement before you even had a shot at trying to be a Mech Jockey, presuming the GM is willing to allow that
Personally, I'd try to find something a little less absurd.

Speaking of which, I would like to join. Presuming that my Tarrasque Dark Side Marauder isn't allowed, I'll probably want to go with a thief or ranger type, thus unbalancing the party more away from the magic users, and making it cheaper for the movie version to eventually be made due to the reduced special effects.
