Escape Velocity: Nova Question

Okay, so I'm transferring all of my old games to my new system, and among them, Escape Velocity: Nova (for which I payed for the full version).

Now, in an attempt to play the game on my new system, it tells me I need to register to get the full version.

I don't know what to do. I payed for the game, fair and square, but now I can't find the activation code. Does anyone know where the game stores that information, or where I can talk to Ambrosia Software to recall what my code was?

I think you would have needed the new code anyway, because it's only valid for a few days or something.
