PSM seemed to like it.
"Oh this looks fair."
"What? It's not like I'm walking around in a friggin AT-AT, a nigh-indestructable engine of destruction, laying waste to everything in my path."
"Yes it is."

That's the XBox demo. I'm still hoping for a downloadable PC demo.

XBox Bites, Lol? (XBL)
Anyway, why get it for XBox? This is the kind of game you want on a COMPUTER. Keyboard, mouse. Not a controller, especially not those hideous XBox ones.

Heh? Its a designed for consoles, and ive always prefered conttrollers for FRS's , as ive never been very good with the mouse and keyboard
The Controllers, fit in my neaderthal hands quite well, and works perfectly fine

*yawn*
Lucasarts whores out the SW licence to a gaming trend(in this case, BF 1942) instead of doing anything on it's own. What else is new?
It's gonna be BF1942 with Stormtroopers, guys. Get used to it.
*waits in vain for SW strategy game worth a rat's ass*

For one thing, an RPG is definitely not a gaming trend, yet KOTOR was one of the most successful X-Box/PC games of last year.

What's wrong with BF1942 with Stormtroopers (and Clonetroopers, Battledroids, and Rebel soldiers)? Unlike BF1942, it won't shit me off with unrealistic shit like tank shells that act like catapult rocks, because it's SW.

I'll agree with that. Perhaps a sequel to Rebellion, except the graphics don't suck and the interface isn't tedious, and the sides aren't hopelessly misrepresented and .... ah never mind.

Ummm...and?
This is like when people go "Another FF...why do they whore themselves?"
If it's a good game does it matter?
Seriously be glad it's not a remake of yet another strategy game that is basically a Star Wars cover on an old engine.

I think everyone acknowledges this...they chose to be excited since it's SW and it being an Online FPS.

Going have to wait a long time since the only thing that might be worth it is the Homeworld 2 mod.

Well, I've played JK2 on GameCube and on PC, and PC is a lot better for gameplay.
The mouse allows you perfect accuracy that a joystick does not. Tilting the joystick to a direction can easily cause you to overshoot, and you have to put it back in the center to stop moving. A mouse, on the other hand, allows you to quickly point it at an exact spot and when the mouse stops, the pointer stops.
I am an l33t sniper on Elite Force
I've hit people from so far away I could barely see them (think- 4 pixels, one for the head, one for the chest, one for each leg). (though I must admit, I wasn't very good at dodging
)
I switched to Jedi Academy, and while I don't like it's sniper weapons, I'm still a crack shot. I kill lightsaber-weilders with the blaster pistol (but it's not as good as the sniper rifle from EF, so I'm not uber anymore
). And I've learned how to dodge by using the keyboard for movement and mouse for aim.
Look at it this way. On the console, you use one joystick for movement, and on the PC, you can use the keyboard keys for movement. That's the same there.
But for aiming, you have to use the other joystick on the console, while the PC gets the mouse. The mouse is way better for snipers and good aim. So I go with mouse and keyboard over dual joystick controller.

I almost feel sorry for you, being so closed minded.
Have you seen the vehicles? The ability to take off in an X-wing or TIE fighter and duel? The ability to jump in an AT-ST, AT-AT, fighter tank, or just about anything? This game is gonna awesome...

What does the PC have the Xbox version won't?
Its not just a "Mod or two" as Half-Life and BF-1942/Vietnam have show us, sometimes the Mod make the games(Or keep you playing if it were not for the crappy as hell fighting such as games like Morrowind)
Not to mention with a PC I can hook anything up to it
PS2 Controler? Yep Xbox? Yep, N64 Controler? Yep, Mouse? Keyboard? of course
And you get to use such zany gagets such as THIS
http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/6e04/
Thats what the Xbox won't have

Plus, the XBox online games only fit 16 people and 16 AI. The PC version can have 32 people and 32 AI. Across a LAN, 64 people and 64 AI.

Anyone who's a serious FPS'er uses mouseaiming with keyboard, along with a handpad. PC is just better all around in every aspect to a console. Only reason to get an X-Box at this point is for Fable, lucky bastards.
