I'm trying to install Fallout 2 (on Win XP), and it just gives me a fucking blue screen. How do I get install it manually, since the setup.exe obviously isn't going to work?

I'm not sure WHAT the problem is (I suspect it might have something to do with the SP2), but in any case, I came up with an ingenious solution for it.

Step 1: Ask roommate to see if the Fallout 2 disc works on his computer.

Step 2a: If yes, then have him do the HUMONGOUS installation. Continue to Step 3.

Step2b: If no, then cry. End of instructions.

Step 3: Burn entire directory to CD-RW.

Step 4: Copy onto own computer, and smile.

Step 5: Curse in frustration as all the opening cinematics play, only to go to a green(?) screen, at which one can only press the 'ESC' key to get to the desktop.

Ah, I figured it out. My graphics card didn't have the proper amount of acceleration, believe it or not. Now that I boosted it up, everything is gravy.

I'd like to thank everyone for doing jack shit.
