Indeed on the Dawn of War part. Check this. Only just took this screenshot.
It would be even better if my graphics card didn't suck, but it does.
I'm going to replace it soon.

What's Dawn of war? I know about Rome and plan to get it eventually but can't recall a game called Dawn of War.

Rome is absolutely awesome. I've played several battles as the Julii against the Gauls (and usually out numbered), and so far I've managed to win every one (some I really just got plain lucky on). Beautiful game with amazing detail...

I ordered Rome off Amazon and it's not supposed to get here for a few weeks (WTH?). So could someone post some cool screenshots for me? I want to live through you all!

Got DoW, and I second (third?) the opinion that've been posted so far.

If RTW is not due for another couple of weeks its probably not been shipped yet. If thats the case you can probably cancel the order and pick it up at a store.

There are elements of Warhammer I don't like, themewise. Chaos as an enemy, however, I freakin love. Three cheers for combining the One Ring and the forces of Hell into a single package!
Also, Dawn of War rocks. Could use some formation control for your troops, as well as group formations that don't spread out THAT far and make them clunky in urban areas. Also, pathfinding with armor and infantry at the same time is shaky (WHY oh WHY do no developers seem to give a shit about pathfinding?). A few lighting bugs with glowing weapons not illuminating parts of the glowing model itself (that seems to happen in every game that includes things that glow, anyone have an idea why?). Pistols that glow for no apparent discernable reason, theme-wise. Oh, and if your transport craft are, judging by the model, freakin /heavily armed/ (as in, can give an Abrams penis-envy), y'really should have some sort of airstrike capability. Those are, however, all minor nits, the game itself is awesome.

Okay, what's the deal here. /11/ missions in the single-player campaign. What...the...heck. The end is suck a /blatant/ plug for an expansion pack, too, it's pretty sad. Was good while it lasted, but I was disappointed by the duration and the ending.

They crammed in as much content as they could. Warhammer 40k has never been very successful when it comes to computer games and coupled with a small and fairly young developer, you don't get a very impressive budget to work with.

It was still too short with a blatant plug for the expansion.

Indeed. Heh, at least there're enough skirmish and multiplayer options to keep me occupied until the mod teams out there bear fruit.

And now whenever I try to run Dawn of War, it runs minimized and minimizes itself again within seconds of me maximizing it.

The company that birthed Homeworld as its initial offering has no excuse for producing an /incredibly/ short, too-easy game, and it's as simple as that. That felt like, oh, about a half to a third of what it should have been?

Yes well, still, Dinobot!
It may be short, but it's still damn good. Play online. Or play the computer on insane.

Well, it was working before, right? So the question is: What did you do to break it?

Nothing. It just started refusing to run maximized.
