Ok, I'm helping her secure her computer adding kerio and antiviruses etc. Anyway, her Norton anti-virus discovered the wre.spybot.worm but guess what? Norton can't get rid of it. She also can't install AVG.
So, being that I never had a worm, how can it be...gone?!

Google doesn't show anything..hope she didn't give me the wrong name.

You could use HijackThis! to kill the running program (may or may not work), then re-run NAV and try to get rid of it.

Another thing... is she running Windows XP as the default user (read: administrator)? Because if she is, then so is the spyware, and you won't be able to kill it running as, say, a Power User.

I think she meant w32.spybot.worm...

I'll have her try that and yes she's running as the default user.
