Any one interested in an Honorverse STGOD?

Is anyone interested in an Honorverse STGOD? I'm just curious as I'd like to play one. At least some familiarity with the books would be nice.
Other than that let me know if you want to play and if so as what nation. All nations are allowed. From the Solarian League right down the Caliphate of Zanzibar.
PS: I call the Andies.
Andermani - Stormbringer
Haven- Dahak
Manticore - Straha.
Solarian League - Thirdfain
Grayson - Beowulf
Torch - White Haven
Erewhon - Consequences

We never got far with the old one to begin with
Question is: what tima era? Post-WoH/Shadow?
I'd like to take Haven, Manticore, or the SL in that order

I like the idea, and I'm in, it's just that I'd rather keep the current STGOD going, if at all possible.

Too many people disappearing for a while. Still, it could work with interested players.

I say we wait and see when. Have it be a decision for the players involved. I'm tenatively thinking around War of Honor but we'll see.

Cool. All are free right now.

Yah, I'd like to take Manticore if possible, it'll be fun to actually have a Navy...

Not around WoH
Then my Republican Navy trashes your little Empire

Good Luck. You'll need it.

Yup. Massive, oversized beaurocracy, a huge carnivorous economy, a collapsing social structure, and a massive fleet of out-of-date warships. The place needs Bismarck.

Not so much one, but two fleets which are set against each other with 200-year old ships and an immobile, innovation-resilient oficer structure
Given the political structure, the emergence of a bismarck-like guy is almost impossible. He'd be dying of old age before he's even half way through the red tape...

Of course. Oh, right, and there's the internal and external systems. As for the poor ships, well yeah, but at least we have the tech to do better- after all, Sollie stuff was better than Peep stuff.
I think I'll have a revolution and dissolve the League, take control only of a faction.

The peep stuff has been constantly improved. It might not be up to Sollie standards, but they'd still give any SL fleet a run for their money.
And a revolution might be a very bad idea indeed. You'd be waging a civil war for years to come...

Yeah, the Peep stuff has improved. The bolthole fleet would fuck the Sollies six ways from sunday.
Frankly, playing the Sollies will require much Kung Fu.

Cool, looks like we're getting a start here.
Adding a list of nations and players.

Any one have a time period they just want to play?

Meh. I know absolutely nothing about Honorverse, so I think I'd have to sit it out. Have fun, though.

I'd be in favour of post-WoH.

Every nation at their height of power, in the books?

Straha wrote:Every nation at their height of power, in the books?
Nope. As they exist at a specific time period. Basically we all sit down and agree on the start time and work from their. And nations are as they are in the books at that time. Of course the non-mentioned nations get to be shaped some by the discretion of their players.
As far as power building, the only requirements is that nations and people stay in character or at least evolve in character and that the tech stay in line with established Honorverse.

At least WOH would save me the writing up of an OOB as I can just re-use the one from the last HHSTGOD

Actually, I think you would need to modify that some in light of things.
Personally, I might borrow some of my OOB stuff from here:

Well, only slightly.
Undo the added ship classes introduced over the course of the HHGOD, apart from that, it's just as good as last time
Unfortunately, the nefarious list is terribly outdated...

Well, that and as I recall some of assumed tech and such needs to be tweaked in late of recent Infodumps.

True, but it helps some.

I was just talking about the rough numerical composition of the fleet.
And we didn't really assume that much in the last HHSTGOD if I recall correctly.

Well, I used what I could find there for the oob of last time...
