Lonestar + Ship's MWR Money for games= Fun at Fry's

Post by Lonestar »

Well, myself (being the King Geek of the Ship's MWR reps) and the Chaplain are taking a trip to Fry's on Thursday to purchase some computer, Xbox, and Playstation2 games for the ship. Besides the obvious Rome:Total War, WH40K, Doom3, Full Spectrum Warrior what should we purchase?

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

For the Xbox, you will kill yourself if you forget Burnout 3: Takedown

on the PC, if the ship has a LAN, do not forget UT2K4(yes, but it has to be mentioned)

S'a damn shame it's not in a few weeks, or you could get Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. My /god/ that game looks awesome, and from the demo, plays awesome as well. Ditto Tribes: Vengance. Sure you can't delay a little? :)

Already too late... You see, there the strange phenomenon in the military, where they try to use up anything left in the budget at the end of the fiscal year. That would have been thursday. The reason for this, is because anything they don't spend, they won't have in next years budget. So you end up with things like buying parkas for everyone in the unit, or 8,000 lumen projectors, and 50" plasma displays.

I think I got the more expensive present from the government. One of the above mentioned parkas. I currently have the plasma TV in my cube right now too... unfortunately it's still packed up.

Somebody didn't pay attention... It's too late to give suggestions!

We have one of those...with a DVD/VHS player. Also, everyone on the ship got a nice "Mustang" fire retardant not-to-shabby looking Utility Jacket that also doubles as a lifepreserver.
