Just plain hype, the CEO or sumthing found out about google and thougt HEY easy way to earn a lot of cread for next no none investment.
I am willing to bet that if everyone using gmail would fill up their mailbox then google/gmail would run out of hd space realy quick.

the article's also inaccurate in its content. it confuses megabytes with gigabytes, and the free accounts are 10 gigs, not 100.

Even so...why would you need 10 gigabytes for your email? Only reason I can think of is if people plan to be sending entire games/movies to one another.

SHIT! I don't even use up 100MB of space (total) on my hard drive, and I've still got e-mail from way back in 2000...most of which still have images attached. I don't see the point of such large accounts. What are we gonna do, e-mail HD movies to eachother? They'd be out of bandwith alot sooner than anyone would come close to filling 10GB let alone 100GB.
