Interesting.

(another interesting point- the 1G and 2G iPods lasted 10 hours, while 3G was only 8 hours and 4G is 12. The 3G and 4G iPods had the same battery in them, but the 4G is more efficient. If Apple had put a better battery, as well...)

The same company has released a battery w/ 30% greater capacity for the 3G iPod (850 mAh). The 1G/2G one is a huge 2100 mAh battery.

No, the 1G iPod was in 5 GB, 10 GB, and 15 GB models. 2G iPod was 5 GB, 10 GB, 20 GB, then 10 GB, 20 GB, 30 GB. 3G iPod was 15 GB, 20 GB, 40 GB. 4G iPod is 20 GB and 40 GB. iPod Mini is 4 GB.
