Ok, this thing is driving me nuts. Whenever I open up the Tak Manager on my Computer, it doesn't show the title bar or tabs or anything which means I can't access the other tabs.

I could always just make a different user profile for myself, but that's gonna be a pain in the ass, so any help would really be appreciated. Here's what it looks like.

It may be worth checking your computer for the lurgy, behaviour like this is often a sign that your computer has picked up something nasty down at the internet plague pit.

If you don't have a virus scannrer with up to date defs, or yours acts wonky, then try housecall from Trend Micro.

Once you're feeling properly fumigated, try running Hijackthis and see if anything obvious leaps out at you (and post the log for dissection)

Otherwise, there's always a one in ten chance that system restore can unbugger it.

Looks like your task manager window got resized somehow, and the title bar and tabs are no longer on the visible portion of the desktop. Fortunately, this is easy to fix. Here's how:

1. Hold Alt and hit O to bring up the options menu. It doesn't matter if you can't see the options.

2. Hit Enter to uncheck the first menu item, which is "Always on Top." This will allow the window size to be modified by your actions in the next step.

3. Right-click on an empty part of your taskbar, and select "Cascade Windows," "Tile Windows Horizontally," or Tile Windows Vertically." All windows will be moved back onto the desktop and resized. This should make the entire task manager window visible.

4. If you want the task manager to be back on top as is the default, click "Options" and click "Always on Top" to re-check it.

Double-click in the gray area surrounding the list box.
