I'm taking all my personal files off of it and I don't want person taking the disc to see what I've last opened. I probably can't start up the drive as a master because it's broken, so I can't right click and delete from the Start menu. Where is the list stored in the Windows directory?

%WINDIR%\Recent for Windows 9x
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Recent for Windows NT\2K\XP
While you're at it, delete anything user-related, like the contents of Temporary Internet Files, Temp, Cookies, and Downloaded Program Files.

If the documents are deleted, when someone clicks on the link to a document in the recently opened documents, it'll tell them that the file could not be found.

I don't use cryptic names for my documents.

Well then, never mind.
*Goes back to figuring out what obscure algorithm I'm going to use to code-name my term paper.*

The drive isn't the one I'm loading Windows with.
