dawn of war for $28, should I get it?

Post by Azazel »

I have the chance to get dawn of war for $28 online. I was planning on getting rome: total war as well. Rome is 40 and dawn of war is $28. Those of you who have it, would you recommend it? I have played a bit of warhammer 40k tabletop so I am involved in the story. I have until later tonight to order it. Thanks for your time.

Is it pirated? *Suspicious glance.*

If it's legit, I'd go for it. The multiplayer's good, even if the single player campaign is way the hell too short.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!

I'd go for both (if possible), and R:tW if not. I've heard good things about DoW, but R:tW is more awe inspiring.

I say yes then, if you can/will play multiplayer. If not, you should have fun with Rome for a looooong time.

There is a questionable factor though. Whether or not my school's network will allow me to play online otherwise I could still play multiplayer at home and I have the money.

I recommend Rome TW but do not recommend Dawn of War because IMO it's seriously unbalanced and only allows a few tactics.
Stubborn as ever - Let's hope it pays off this time.

Thats why its called Dawn of RUSH. :)

Rome should never be played vanilla though; its easy and filled with historical inaccuracies and unit imbalance. There are plenty of mods to fix everything but the braindead strategic AI availible.

*Builds heavy bolter turrets and mans the barricades.* Rushing isn't quite the be-all and end-all of the game.
