Star Destroyer.Net Arena/Team Arena

Post by Cal Wright »

Alright, let's do this. What if SD.Net was a Quake III mod of sorts. We have Arena and Team Arena.

The premise. The arena eternal is now the Hall of Shame. Wong lords over the tournaments that he holds on different stages. As ruler of this flame ridden world he can randomly chose who he wants as combatants. The admins are fellow non participating demi-gods. While the mods are his tier soldiers.

In a twist of cruel fate Lord Wong has decided to pull you from your meager life and drop you into Hall of Shame. Luckily you can be any video game character, just don't pick someone über strong like Sephiroth or Superman and go pounding through the walls. Examples would be Mario. You can come across Mushrooms and his other powerups, and stomping on someone's head affects them like it does in the Mario Bros. game. Sonic, where you can spin dash or jump onto people. Joanna Dark, Master Chief, Sam Fisher, typical shit like that. Like I said, no one super über if we can help it. The idea is to be the game character. Or you can be yourself if you want with basic Quake physics. Moderate jump, standard speed.

These are your weapons of choice. We'll limit how many you can hold, but give you choices for each slot.

Melee:
Pistol Whip (Perfect Dark)
Chainsaw (Doom 3)
Covenant Sword (Halo 2)
Lightsabre (Jedi Knight II)
Cape (Super Mario World)
Spin Dash (Sonic the Hedgehog)

Pistol:
Desert Eagle (Counter Strike)
Golden Gun (Goldeneye)
Fireball (Super Mario Bros.)
Bow and Silver Arrow (Zelda)

Shotgun/Rifle
Farsight (Perfect Dark)
AWP (Counter Strike)
Double Barrel (Quake)

Machine Guns:
Plasma Rifle (Halo)

Heavy Artilary:
Mega Buster (Mega Man)
Samus' Arm Canon (Metroid)
Suck Canon (Ratchet and Clank)

Explosives:
Rocket Launcher (Quake I or III your pick)
Devestator (Perfect Dark)

You get the gist. I'm stalling out for some reason. Toss in some ideas of other weapons and when I get my collective ass back together I'll edit it a little more.

Oh, btw. FIGHT!

I'd ask to be Samus Aran, but I'd be too busy fondling my tits to fight.

Can I be the Vault Dweller, or is that one of the "uber characters" that's forbidden?

If so, then I pick Ben, from Full Throttle. I'll beat the crap outta all y'all with my trusty Shattered Beer Bottle Of Doom.

I will be a giant Mutant Headcrab™. Also, instead of one of the melee weapons listed, could I use a Half-Life crowbar instead?

I'd be Gordon Freeman. With the Nuclear-Powered Crowbar of Ultimate Pwnage, of course.

Can I just be a dark trooper from the original Dark Forces? They had fun toys, a Jet pack, and good armour.

Yeah, just try to hit me with the crowbar after I activate my pre-regulation Destroyer-class solid-fuel recoil booster...

I never played HL, but I still know of the crowbar, its like general knowledge, like the fact the Warthog rules, that the Redeemer makes Shep horny.
