So I just got the free version of 3DMARK05...

Let's just say that I've never felt this inadequete in my life. I think I would feel better having a 1 inch penis than this score....

339

My God.......0-2 FPS the entire test!!!

Where's the bottleneck in my system?? My system doesn't suck that much, does it???

Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz
1024 MB RAM
GeForce FX 5600 256 MB RAM

Those are all respectible components...or so I thought. What's wrong with my comp? Anyone think it might be that I haven't reformatted for awhile? Even with that fact, I don't believe that it would drop my performance THIS much. Oi......

And I was so happy cuz I could run Doom3 at a decent framerate on medium settings. Guess the next graphics engines after Doom3 and HL2 mean either a new computer for me, or back to playing Master of Orion 2....lol

Your Geforce FX 5600 256MB card is the bottleneck. Why did you get a 256MB one?

hmm I may run 05 on my computer later but I don't expect great results.
Here are my stats 1GHz AMD athlon, 512MB SDR SDRAM, FX 5600xt 128MB, 20GB HDD

I heard the new version of that program is more intensive in general and as a result, lowers the average of everyone's scores down significantly. It was obviously built with future systems and hardware in mind.

Oh ya it was definatly built for future systems...but one of my fleetmates scored a 2000 or so on it :(

I got the 256 MB card because, when I bought it, I thought that having 256 RAM would help for future games. Afterwards, I read that the clock speed and stuff of the card is so slow that it really won't take advantage of the extra RAM. Damn.

Even so, the card is about a year and a half old (like the rest of the system). Didn't think it would suck this bad....o well

oh yeah its going to suck that bad for most upcoming games. but you will still probably be able to pull off medium graphics at 800*640.
Atleast you don't have a 5200 or 5500!

I'd worry about this except 3dMark lost all credibility a few years back.

Ran AquaMark3 last week though on an untweaked and BADLY fragmented system. 18598.

Doom3 timedemo_demo1 on High Quality with all options enabled = 45.2 FPS.

P4-2.8C, 512 DDR400, RX800Pro 256mb owns benchmarks.

In the venerable 3dMark2001 my system was AVERAGING 176fps overall. DAMN.

2320 on a P4 2.6C, O/Ced Radeon 9800 with a gigabyte of system RAM. Chugged along a lot, but generally stayed in the double-digits.
