Firefox Flash Help
I need help. Sound is working more or less perfectly on my linux install except for flash files in firefox. They won't play sound. Being logged in as root or a regular user doesn't make a difference. And yes, my speakers are on and function with any other sound source I can find...

I manually removed all the files that it installed. There is no ad/remove programs tool or control panel in linux so that isn't going to help much...Stormbringer wrote:Try removing (via the control panel add/remove programs tool) first and then reinstalling it. Simply reinstalling it might now be enough to fix the problem.darthdavid wrote:tried it. And tried re-downloading and re-installing. no good.

Hm... do you have sound with other stuff? If so, make sure your plugin directory has the flash .so files in them?darthdavid wrote:I manually removed all the files that it installed. Wait a minute... didn't you switch to Debian? Just install the firefox from the debian packages and the flash plugins (actually, show me your /etc/apt/sources.list, since I think they removed the archive to get flash for the default install).
