I haven't played it, but I have a bud who says it's crap.

Story was supposedly idiotic, and the gameplay was supposed to be boring as hell. I found a review of it at gamespot; it got an 8.2, oddly enough. It's possible my bud confused it with another game. Here's the link: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/thing/review.html

I found the game to be average.

The "confidence/paranoia" of you team mates works ok until you realise that at certain points any teammates will turn into Things even if you tested them 10 seconds ago.

The actions ok and what i saw of the story was ok, but i got stuck at a bit and couldn't work out what to do o i just gave up on it.

So it was average, not good enough to keep me trying when i got stuck.

I thought it was pretty could. Definitely a nice gameplay experience (and there is something to be said for opening up on a Thing with your team-mates and having it come on through a hail of gunfire.. until you let it have it with the flamethrower)
