So i am playing AVP 2 because i having played a real scary game in a long time. I put it on its hardest mode and because i have a new PC with a awesome sound card i am hearing sounds i never heard before in the game. Either way i am really doing good but because the game is so intense on the hardest level my legs are all tensed up and hurting. So like the brainiac that i am i decide i am going to take a break but i don't pause or quit the game i just leave it running. Right as i go to stand up, an alien jumps right in front of the screen from nowhere and i have the volume way up. It makes that crazy violin screech and it startles me like i have never been before, i fall backwards into the chair (instead of standing up) and crack my already aching legs under the desk (which is metal) and hit my head on the floor. Let my stupidity be a warning to you. You can injure yourself while playing video games

anyone else have tales of stupidity

I've pushed my thumbs to silly extremes, where I can't move it without pain. Nothing much else though.

I rubbed a blister on my hand from Mario Party once or twice at least. I also know that I've just about put blisters on my thumb from the Dpad on a Dreamcast controller from playing Marvel Capcom for too damn long.

The Street Fighter games were always rough on my thumbs.

Think I fell off my chair once. Was playing a LAN game and something made me jump out of my seat and the chair suddenly detached from the legs and collapsed while I was attempting to jump.

I had hurt my eyes badly cause I looked at the monitor to long. I say I spent 43-44 hours looking at the monitor though the game lasted 45 hours.

My problem isn't really sore thumbs, but rather my ass gets sore after sitting on the chair for the time I'm playing the game.

I found the pictures of that btw. I'll have to remember to give them to you. I wish I sent them in now, we would have won the EGM contest.

Yeah that' sucks. My computer chair's padding has been compressed to the point where i'm now effectively sitting directly on plastic. It doesn't feel all that great...

Several hour-long sessions at Smash Bros. Melee gives me ouchy callouses (not really blisters) on my thumb. 'Specially that thumb.

Wow, that seems very common. I hate it when some game requires stick rotation to solve a puzzle...damn thing wears out a lot faster.
