Bizarre-ass problem

Yeah, if I'm connected to the internet, and I run a newer game like doom 3, I get a complaint from my modem about USB bandwidth (even though it's the only USB thing in my computer) and it kills the internet connection. Now I forsee this being a really annoying problem once I have halflife 2, so any thoughts on how to fix it?

Check if your USB connection is a 1.0 or 1.1, those have less bandwidth then the 2.0 connectors.
