Okey, it looks good, adding HDR really does help realisim for some examples:

My only problem with the pics here(except the last one) is that they were show offs, and except the last one were way overdone (there are 7 settings, differant levels of HDR).[/img]

doesn't look bad, but the effects look a little over done. What does HDR standfor (i assume it's the sunshine thing)

High Dynamic Range (Lighting). This allows for really bright stuff such as sunlight that can't be expressed by normal, or Low Dynamic Range lighting.

It'll be a while before HDR becomes standard. It's even more of a performance hit than Anti-Aliasing (and incompatiable with AA, too).

It looks good, though yeah, overdone... showboating for the sake of prettiness, really. But it's nice to see where the industry will be in three or four years or so.

As I said, most of the pictures are overdone, just to show how it looks, instead of actual gameplay shots.
I would take shots myself, but my rig can't do shit for that.

Wow sun looks super nice, I'm thinking I might play Far Cry again. This game was by far my favorite game to come out this year, and in a long time.. beautiful, fun, and great story.

Speaking of AA...I usually have it off. (My card is set to off, anyway.) What exactly does it do? What, um....hmm...how can it make a difference in a fast-paced FPS like Far Cry? I know like, when I play Halo, or even System shock, I don't think to myself "Gah, this is (Awful/great) I'm so (Pissed/glad) that Anti Aliasing (Is/is not) on!"

AA basically makes models look smoother and less pixellated or polygonal e.g. making wheels look more like circles than very high side numbered polygons. Lines are also the same such as the jaggedness of diagnonal lines you see in, say, MS Paint.

If I could tone down the brightness, that would be nice.

There are 7 HDR modes, of varying magnitude, most were taken on level 7 (the highest), for maximal effect, something around 3-4 is said to be the best for actual playing.

However, you do need a 6xxx card :P

Those are the lamest G36 and MP5 models I have ever seen.

If you mean the reflections, read my post, its overdone, if you mean the models themselves, see them live, they rule.

I have seen them live, and they look nothing like the real thing.

I've seen them live, too, and I think the models look fine.

OH MY GOD! You mean... Julhelm's opinion isn't gospel?!? ::gasp::
