Alright, first of all, no Mac-bashing here. Pretty please?

Anyway, as somebody might have noticed from my rants in the ranting thread, I've been having trouble with my internet connection recently. I finally got a response from tech. support and they told me to change my PPPoE password. Unfortunately the password refuses to stick when I press Apply Now and resets to my previous password. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Sounds like your Keychain's data somehow got corrupted.

Open up Keychain Access at /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app and find the Keychain entry in there for your PPPoE password. Then delete it. Or you could change the password manually by checking the "Show Password" box and entering your Keychain password, then changing it.

I found 2 keychain passwords which might be what I'm looking for, but changing them hasn't helped. One is called Home Network of the kind AirPort Network password and the other is called Built-in-ethernet of the kind Internet Connect.

Keep Built-in Ethernet and blast the other one.

I can't do that or else my network will stop working. I think. Gah, I don't know what I'm doing.
