Barring a couple missions that were just "Okay you're in the middle of death...here's your slug boat!" The game was the best damn SW flight sim experience I had.
Second comes the Jedi Knight series, which I loved to just jump twirl and go apeshit with a lightsaber.
MM /CF/WG/BOTM/JL/Original Warsie/ACPATHNTDWATGODW FOREVER!!

They should be ashamed of themselves. Who knows, Lucasarts might give it another shot, they did remake X-Wing and TIE Fighter with the graphical improvements from X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, after all. Not the most difficult thing in the world, but it was a quantum leap improvement.
Or they'll make a new space sim shooter based on ROTS. ARC 170s, those as-yet-un-named new "Jedi" starfighters ...

X-Wing:Alliance was very fine but I doubt they'll make another one like that. Probably another Rogue Squadron clone which they can also sell on the game consoles
X-Wing vs Tie Fighter (never having owned XW or TF)
X-Wing Alliance
Dark Forces II
Yep, all older games simply because I believe that they got it right, if they remade DFII with the outcast/academy engines (yes, I know there are mods) then I'd be over the moon.
But can I get my old XW:A discs to work on my laptop? Can I bollocks.

Those to me are the best. Yes they are newer, but I hated most of the older games. These here capture the esence to me. Scale, power and a good rush. JPB laggs a little bit mainly on Tatooine, but other than that it's damn good game.

To be honest I always wanted to try out SW:Rebellion.
The idea of a SW strategy game set during the OT is intrigueing (sp?).

1.) KOTOR
2.) Battlefront
3.) TIE Fighter (TIE fighter is at 3 less because of Battlefront's superiority and more due to the fact that I haven't been able to play it in years so my memories are dim, yet also surprisingly warm and fuzzy).
Clone Wars (I like the way they copied the 'fighter tank' in Battlefront, although it is far more nimble in this game.)
Jedi Outcast
Rouge Squadron II and III

Really, in the pantheon of Star Wars games, maybe of all movie liscense video games, there's TIE Fighter and then there's everything else.
