now that I have installed the maginot line of firewalls on my comp, it wont let me watch movies.

any idea why?

Probably blocked off the port that whatever you're trying to watch wants to use. Look at the FAQ at the site of the content (yahoo appearantly) and at the firewalls site to see which ports need opening up.
