ATI RADEON 7000 Installation Issue..

Because of course it would be completely fucking insane to actually be able to play the games I've bought with my money, now that I have a vidcard, it of course won't work.

The specific error is: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

As I think randomly shutting down crap might be unwise, let's say, I decided to investigate it. Turns out ATI has this very problem from a 'Shuttle spacewalker' motherboard. And there's a BIOS fix for it. Only I don't know what motherboard type I have. And when I open it up, apparently the guy who assembled it didn't know either, because there's not so much as a MADE IN sticker on it.

Now, as I don't want to obliterate my computer if I can help it, does anyone know the name of the motherboard used in Emachine's W2047 series desktop? Because their website doesn't want to load for me. If it's not sounding like the above, are there any other fixes for this sort of issue, or have I just bought a 45 dollar paperweight?

go to shuttle's site ( http://shuttle.com ). THey have info on how to identify your mobo.

Look at this site. Your motherboard happens to be a FIC motherboard (AM37), not a Shuttle one, if it looks like this

That solved it!

Now I just have to figure out why Generals doesn't let me into missions beyond the first, and why Skirmish causes my units to detonate..
