SW d20 house rules
For those of us who are aware of the SW d20 rules, do you play the game with any special house rules? Or for those who play d20 games in general, what house rules, if any, do you operate your game under?
Re: SW d20 house rules
I don't play the game at all anymore. Too broken. But in the interest of actually answering the question instead of peddling my views, I think what I would concentrate on is the following:Stofsk wrote:For those of us who are aware of the SW d20 rules, do you play the game with any special house rules? * The space combat rules. The greatest flaw of the game. Revamp all weapons and shield stats for capital ships to prevent that a single ISD broadside destroys another ISD, and similar idiotic results.
* Remove the Slaviczec's brainbug on combined actions unless you actually can combine an action (i.e. two people helping to fix a single object). That idea's been kicking around since WEG SW. Didn't make sense there either.
* Remove the level cap so Darth Vader can be the ace he really is, and Yoda the badass he should be. Removing the cap is almost essential. Otherwise, I foresee quick stagnation.

swd20 doesnt really allow for the granduer of theu niverse to come through. my gaming gorup routinely uses dnd d20, and going from a 20th level monk with a million in gold magic items to even darth vader is a let down.
This day is Fantastic!
