Satellite Radio Suggestions

I am embarking on buying one of these satellite radio systems, specifically XM radio but I'm not sure what sort of set up I want. I know there's a portable system coming out next month but it's like $379.99, granted it is portable, comes with a home and car kit as well as some other nice accessories, but Jesus, nearly 400 dollars?! And I'm pretty sure you can't get Satellite radio on the subway, where I do most of my listening, so it won't be replacing my MP3 player so my other option is the Delphi2 that is selling for around $79 then the home kit is another $49 or I can get a boombox set up for $99. Much cheaper (and probably more reliable since this new system is just coming out) so I'm in a quandry as to choice.

Anyone here have any of those systems and can give me some inside dope before I plunk down my cash?
