Having a discussion the other day with a friend about this:

Who/what are the most killed enemy in videogaming and who has the highest bodycount of that type.

We decided that Nazi's are without a doubt the most killed enemy, some notable examples:

Commando, Wolf3d, Mortyr, RtCW, BloodRayne, MoH, CoD, R6:RS . . . The list could go on. As for who has the highest Nazi bodycount? We setltled on BJ Blazkowicz. Anyone else have any contenders for this? We are seriously looking here...

Klackons. Billions and billions of Klackons. And they only win because they expand like mad, so there's more of them to kill. :)

I would have to guess storm troopers, because you fight them in basicly every starwars game. At a close second I'd say civilians, because I play postal two whenever i'm angry and in one week end of unbelievable rage I killed over 6,000

Imperial troops in general. In the course of the X-Wing series you kill both Death Stars. :P

The little toadstool dudes in the mario series. Just about everyone who's ever played a video game has played one mario game or another lol I know for a fact I've had to have curbstomped a few thousand of those myself...and I never really played Mario all that much

I think my best single effort was 116 kills in a 10 minute game of Perfect Dark for the N64.

I wish I could recall how many kills Uts got once during a bot sniping session in Unreal Tournament, but I can't. All I can remember was that it was quite high, definately more than a hundred...

In the first act of GTA: SA, I wiped out more than 1400 gang members and didn't even finish taking over Los Santos. I figure by the end of the game the body count will be in five digits.

I know Samus has two planets under her belt, one the hide out of space pirates, the other a organism rich planet, and in all likely hood Dark Aether will be added to it.

Sure but can any of them compare to the amount of Nazi's killed over the course of gaming? Seriously - how many did BJ kill just in the original Wolf3d. Not to mention that dude in the commando game who probably has accounted for the entirity of the 3rd Reich...

What are you people thinking? Even the Death Stars can't even come close to the number of people killed in a standard game of Space Empires IV. 1 MP of a planet's population is considered a million people, and you can have planets with hundreds of thousands of HP. If someone gets star killing weapons, or even just really big fleets, you can have trillions die every turn!
It's a question of orders of magnitude. Of course, if you don't want to count enemy civilians I suppose one of you may have a better idea. Even so, you can have thousands of warships destroyed in a long game, and if a lot of people use ground troops or carriers that's a fuck-ton of dead enemies.

But thats abstract. We were referring to actually being killed by the played own hand... Otherwise it would likely be "generic alien type A" from 4X game of your choice.

The Space Invaders (from the classic '70s arcade game) bit it in large numbers over the course of a game, and the game was quite popular, so that's a lot of death right there.

The met-hats have also showed up in large numbers, waiting to be killed, in every single Mega Man game. Seeing as how there's been dozens of those games made (I've heard from one source that the number is getting close to a hundread, but that probably counts a lot of ports, cameo appearances and games that were never released in NA) that's a lot of dead mets.

Rome:Total War. My enemies' casualties probably reached 100,000+ by now.

Have a very nice day.

What about Orcs? Are they eligible?

Between the Warcraft games, and the LoTR stuff that's cropped up recently. Plus all those other games with them, there must be a big ass bodycount.

A little online strategy game called Space. An average planets holds 5 million people and I must have bombarded thousands of planets over the years.

Again tending towards the abstract with the Rome: TW and RTS'. You're not personally wailing upon your enemy, so it doesn't really count - exceptions to this would be RTS' like Soldiers or Battlezone where you can get up close and personal in a "direct control" mode.

I was playing Civ 2 Call to power once, and wiped out several civilizations with populations that were probably in the low to mid billions.....

Now that's a body count.

I'd say "a Rat" from any MMORPG... or "an orc pawn" or something of the sort. See its not just the newbies that kill em.. its everyone else that happens to see one in their path and smoke it in one hit. I'm sure they die by the thousands or more every day.

I'll agree with the Nazi's being the number one killed, with stormies taking second.
