This is probably a dumb question, but is there a way to pick an individual file out a torrent with the files bundled as one torrent?

If you use Azureus, double-click the torrent in the listing, select the tab for said torrent and then there should be a section for file listings.

Anyway, how would I set it up to download the individual file?

To clarify, I want to know if it's possible to download just one file out of the bundle and not the others.

It's possible, but not with the standard client. You'll need either ABC, Azureus or BitTornado I believe.

Go to where Azureus lists all the files in the torrent, select the ones you don't want and right-click to tell it not to download various things.
