Just some refreshing of my memory: how did the Nomands infiltrated the human race? Were they some kind of energetic parasites? And how did they spread to other hosts? Just by contact?

Parasites, we see them inside someone.

And apprently by contact, the parasite attempted to take over someone elses body.

Well, it seemed to be A) more involved (the scene with the president all tied up) and B) same scene, remember the thing had some tentacled physical form thingus.

And about the Dyson sphere. Did they build it or did they conquered it? Or were they created by the builders of the sphere?

My guess is the Don Kovash (the creators of the Nomads) built it.

Nomads. The fruitcakes in the pink ships that made the plot suddenly start to suck, and the ending suck worse.

Either you're hallucinating or my memory has reached legendary uselessness.

Recall both that Japanese fatass who goes all Dragonball on you, as well as the Rhineland guy who tries to transfer a Nomad into the Liberty president.

Along with virtually the entire leadership of the Liberty military.

I think instead of occasional story missions after obtaining certain levels Freelancer should have went for Star Control 2 like RPG style play. There you fly your ship wherever you want, discover and talk to people and advance the story line.

That would require that Microsoft aid in the creation of a product designed to promote extreme freedom. I'm sure Gates has paid off a wizard to geas his programmers against that or something. :)

None the less, I greatly enjoyed Freelancer. Sure, there could be made improvements but overall i found it great. I especially liked the great diversity of space environments

FreeSPACE or FreeLANCER? There's very, very little to connect the two.

Freelancer does have some big plot holes though. They can shield fighters but capships are unshielded. Infact capships are virtualy canon fodder against fighters. Liberty is supposed to be the strongest house but has the weakest fighters. And Sirius system is huge ! In real life there are only two stars in Sirius.

That's the perennial problem with level-based games. One is forced to wonder why the Kusari don't steamroll Liberty at will (replace factions with <encountered late game> and <encountered early game>)

Shadow, the game doesn't take place in the Sirius system, but rather a sector of space called Sirius. Hell if I know why they called it that, since you can never travel to the Sirius system.

As for the cap ships being unshielded...I have no clue. They were in StarLancer, so maybe it's to balance the game.

More like it would take alot of power to shield a big cap ship (SoD), but that dosn't excuse their lack of weapons.
