Router Not Assigning DHCP IP Addresses

Alright, my network got a minor makeover, and I have a new router solely for my computer... The problem is that the router simply doesn't work, for some reason. I've got everything plugged in, and it seems as though the router doesn't detect my computer. I've turned the router on/off several times, reset it, tried to repair my network connection, disabled then enabled my network connection, but in the end, I keep getting an Invalid Address response, or an automatic private address.

Is there some way to fix this, or is my router just messed up?

Well, this COULD be a problem with your Winsock LSPs. I don't have a URL handy, but search around for a utility called LSP Fix. You should have three items there...which, gaargh, I can't remember. Still, if you have more than three items showing up in LSPfix, post 'em up here and I'll have a look, I know them by sight. Alternately, have you tried hooking another system up to the router, to see if IT picks up an IP?

Well, it seems like the router or cable is disfunctional - the wireless portion of the router works, but that's it. Not much to do besides replace it, I suppose.

Well, that's annoying, but nice and simple. Warranty?
