Firefox sucks!

Or "Why in the hell won't Firefox load any Web pages, while IE works perfectly?"
I was just browsing along as usual, when Firefox suddenly point blank refused to load the forum page, or any other pages, for no apparent reason. I thought it was my connection screwing up again, but I didn't lose MSN, so I decided to double check. I'm on IE now, which is working fine. What gives?

No idea, but get Opera

No no no! You go with Mozilla! Far superior to IE and Firefox, imo.

Drop those tiny browsers, take a real monster, Opera.

What exactly makes Opera great? I've always wondered but haven't seen a reason to be persuaded to switch to it. I tend to be one of those who are reluctant to change if the current one works great.

Well, if your using Firefox, leave Opera alone, but Opera is a step up, and I love its side-bar, everything I need is there, also, great download control.

That's weird. Have you tried turning off all your extentions? Maybe one of them is buggy?
I've never run into this problem. But you sure know how to pick the titles to get lots of views...

Because you touch yourself at night?
Because it doesn't like you?
I find it can load more webpages than Opera, though badly coded IE only pages can still cause problems.
*shrugs*

So what is likely a network error or deliberate block preventing you from using Firefox turns into "Firefox Sucks!". Nice.
And Opera is adware.

Opera sucks. There, I feel my personal experience is enough to tarnish it entirely.
Seriously, it's a fault on your end likely on your behalf that has led to the browser not loading the images. Everyone, and I mean everyone else I know whom I've told to convert to Firefox has had no problems. Besides, Mozilla is a package that includes Firefox, just it also has the likes of Thunderbird etc. in it too. If you just want a browser with no clutter (or ads), stay with Firefox.

Nice riposte, Dalton!
Rouge, call your ISP and ask what the problem is, and if it's a deliberate block, then ask who's the Racist Firefoxphobic M$-Fundy Bigot Asshole who did it. Ask for the dumbfuck monkey to be fired and the problem fixed. If they refuse to identify or fire the fucktard,
change ISP!

Hey, it gets people to look at the thread.

I didn't do a thing to it. It worked normally up until 3:38 AM this morning, when I clicked the link to go to G&C to check up on my D&D game. Nothing happened.

In that case, do what Ein said. You have clean hands on this and it's likely a shitty ISP playing with you. Do the world a big favour and teach that shitty ISP a lesson. Vive l'Internet!

Check your ad blocker settings.

Yeah, seriously. On Safari on my Mac I installed PithHelmet, an auto-adblocker in beta. It actually ended up blocking the "Click here to enter" pics on strek-v-swars.net when I was going to bash the Trekkies. I make sure I use a manual ad-blocker and never auto settings on FireFox, now.

Can't check the ad settings on Firefox because it won't open a new window and I closed the one that wasn't doing anything. The entire program seems disabled.

Unobtrusive adware is still adware. Really, if given the choice between "getting a paper cut" and "not getting a paper cut", would you pick the former just because it's small?

Check the running processes. What version of Firefox is it? Did you do a fresh install and create a new profile?

It's working now. Restarting the computer did the trick.

Firefox (Yes, version 1.0, not the PR) seems to have a gaping memory hole in my system, it's wierd. It'll work fine for an erratic amount of time (usually a day or more) and then start to slow down...and if I check the task manager, it'll be taking up a hundred megs or so of RAM. End task it, restart it, and it's fine. What gives, anyone else have this problem or hear of it?

How dare you make fun of cute Firefox-ko!
