I just wondered. Has anyone here played the Koei series of Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Depending on the game, you get to take control of one or more of the warlords factions or generals in that time era and essentially duke it out in an attempt to conquer China.............
The series is a exercise in micro-management, but I can't stop playing it.
Its also a bit ludricious how some of the scenarios play out. In IIRC Sango 8,as a vagabond Liu Bei staying in Yuan Shao camp, I moved out to Jiangnan, where Meng Huo base would be and all his generals are there. Once there, I began to corner generals to my cause, significantly weakening Cao Cao faction by mistake when my defecting Guan Yu took away a region of his, yielding me much welcomed cash. From this pathathetic city in the south, I would overwhelm the whole of China by 210 AD, and the ending portion of the game just seemed to play out like some Civ 2 scenario, where I would make peace, be attacked or had the truce broken and me launching simultaneous assaults on all frontiers to overwhelm Sun Ce cities.

A couple of my friends are addicted. They made me play once. It was kind of meh, but I don't get overly into that sort of thing.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!
