I have: a Samsung 16x Dual Layer DVD+-R/RW burner.

I need: Suggestions for what brand of blank discs I should buy for data discs and video discs.

The best ones will say "Made in Japan." Brands are generally meaningless (unless you specifically get Taiyo Yuden or Mutsui)

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia some good info there, can review and make your own judgement. I would look for rebranded disks of a good brand, if you get my meaning, best bang for the buck and reliable.

The cheapest I can get around here are LG and Princo.
I kinda trust LG more, but the advantage of Princo is that they're white, so you can just print over them.
