Doom revisionism

Post by andrewgpaul »

I recently installed Doom 1 again, from some sort of Id software limited ediotn set (Doom, Doom II, Quake), and it turns out, they've altered one of the levels. You remember, on level 3 or so of episode 1, there's a room you go into, the wall decend, and there's a swastika on the floor? It's no longer a swastika. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed that, or any other 'improvements'. hopefully the Wolfenstein secret levels are still there :)
"So you want to live on a planet?"
"No. I think I'd find it a bit small and wierd."
"Aren't they dangerous? Don't they get hit by stuff?"

I never noticed that in the original Doom.
"Hi there, would you like to have a cookie?"

"No, actually I would HATE to have a cookie, you vapid waste of inedible flesh!"
