This reminds me of the recent downing of both the Howard Stern board and the Tony Danza show board by script kiddies who are fans of the Oppie and Anthony show. They attacked those forums and even cracked moderator accounts to sow general chaos. It can easily happen to any baord if they're not careful.

The boys had a good laugh about the hacked boards and their fans but having been a mod when this board was hacked by the TK children I can tell you it is no fun.

It's amazing how many people don't bother to keep their software up to date, even administrators. But that's the "behind the scenes" shit that I do and nobody else here really knows about.
The boys had a good laugh about the hacked boards and their fans but having been a mod when this board was hacked by the TK children I can tell you it is no fun.
Kiddies like that get a thrill out of knowing that they were able to use the README file for a tool from a hacker website. It makes them feel like big men.

Meh. When my connection is on the fritz, I usually tracert here to see if the problem is with the uni's net, the local ISP, or somewhere else. Unless you're doing something stupid, I don't think it'll be an issue. At least, no one has complained at me.
