Well, after four days (or was it five?) days of playing, I’ve beaten it, and I must say that it kicks industrial size amounts of ass! The environments are varied and interesting, the plot is solid and involving (I was half expecting some sort of plot twist ala “you are Darth Revan OMFG” but was happy that they didn’t resort to it), and the characters are far more interesting and have surprisingly more depth. The gameplay mechanics are much the same as the first one but hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

The game can be a bit twitchy at times (crashed with me once, plus sudden jumps in frame rate, characters running through walls at times, etc.), but the bugs are usually and far between. Once you start hacking and slashing your way through Sith commando’s, you’ll forget all about them.

Out of all the characters I found that I liked Kreia the most. She has a very unique view of the Force and the galaxy in general. She has the most engaging dialog, and clearly has contemptible views of both Jedi and Sith, and in some ways she’s spot on. Especially about Jedi arrogance. Plus she had this way of making me second guess my decisions. I would make a decision, she would chastise me, and in a twisted way she would actually make sense. She doesn’t care about light or dark as long as it works best to your advantage, and I think that makes her the most practical character in the group. So yes, she is a cold hearted bitch, but she is a cold hearted bitch who usually has a good point.

And finally, we come to the most important question of all, and I’m surprised it hasn’t come up yet. Who is the hottest KotOR II chick? Atris is kind of cold and doesn’t think too highly of you, but she has an elegance that I find appealing. Veris the blind girl is pretty hot, plus she has the whole “I will do anything for you” thing going for her. Ahh, the possibilities. She may be hiding a kink or two under that cloak of hers but that’s just my opinion.

Personally, I think the Handmaiden is by far the yummiest. Beautiful, honest, elegant in her own way, and willing to kick ass at the drop of a hat. What’s not to love? I think it was her strength, courage, determination, and devotion that made her more appealing. Or maybe it was because I saw her prance around in a metal bikini? You be the judge.

Yeah, Gameplay is pretty much the same, but I liked how they slotted ALL the attacks into one area...it was nice to slide up or down and pick Master Flurry.

Graphically the best part was the different battle animations, it was cool to see them make it as a more of a duel. Still repeat but then again at time I just let him sit and slash it was cool.

Kreia is the cold bitch, and you do see why.

Actually what I loved more then their interaction with you was their interaction with each other. Seriously they had such a great and real clashes with each other, and it fit since while they followed you does not mean they will get along.

Can't wait to see how Dark Side will go...and see the biting and snipping will go.

As for my fave babe...Mira, hot leather, attitude and the perfect line about what she's going to have to do if you two hitch up. It's better what happens about when you get her influence maxed.

Handmaiden comes in second because of her personailty.

Oh and since I split the thread for spoilers here come character ones.

1. EVERY character but your three droids and the Wookiee can become Good or Evil Jedi. It's okay, but can suck because some are piss poor low while some like Handmaiden can become kick ass. It's all about influence.

2. There is a lot of upper tier special items....including for one who can be a neutral Jedi(Jolee's robes...which is THE best armor(armor class wise) in the game by giving you a +31 to your defense).

3. You can get Disclipine if you're a woman visa versa Handmaiden for a guy.

4. You can get HanHarr if you're evil, Mira if you're good.

5. Classes actually matter. The Jedi Consular gets stuff to advance their Force Powers to absurd levels. Have a friend playing that class, and his Force Push and Force Lightning at max is practically killing damage and only time he pulls out his lightsaber is when he has to go one on one against a major Sith.

Oh yeah...apparently if yopu replay the game three times...with different saves.

The third time depending on guy/girl, Handmaiden/Atton will have a few extra lines declaring their love for you in their own special way.

Eventually I will see this, but found it rather hilarious to think they put this in there just for the hell of it.

Glitches I've encountered:

For some reason, I can't initiate conversation with Bao-Dur in the one game I've done after the first couple of times. He can talk to me, but I'm pretty sure I missed out on a lot of his stuff.

I can make Hanharr stronger but dumber as often as I feel like it apparently. His intelligence won't drop below 3, but his strength keeps rising.

After defeating Darth Nihilus, the fucker won't fall down. Trying to talk to him does nothing, unless I switch to another chaacter and do it, in which case the screen goes completely black until I randomly get the character to initiate conversation with another party member.

If I try to give the Exchange wench a open passport on Onderon, then change my mind, I lose the pass, but gain basically nothing, and she apparently doesn't have it either.

Is the ending for a Dark side character supposed to suck like NES version Rampage, or is it another problem with my specific game? Specifically:

I kill Kreia throw her into the pit, it cuts to an exterior view of the planet, wreckage is moving towards it, and it goes directly to the credits.

Nope, the Dark Side ending...BLOWS.

ahem...

IT BLOWS LARGE DONKEY BALLS!

You are not wrong in your assessment....in fact when I play the game for a third time...I'm doing light or neutral because the DS ending was crap.

It blows? Shit, that sucks. Does the journey make up for the sucky ending? The lightside ending blew in KOTOR.

The journey rocks. Seriously the difference between Light and Dark are actually quite a bit different and the effects and convincing your bud that being evil is good is great.

Hell for both sides the journey is worth the trip through.

The ending blows because it's ALL SET UP.....for a maybe KoTOR 3.

Seriously S-E-T U-P. Pisses me off if KoTOR3 doesn't come into being.

Right just beat it today

*Things that pissed me off
1. HK-47 you get him much much to late, and/in addition I was basicly able to get nothing done with him quest wise never found the 50 lab or anything else useful or got my infulence with him high enough for him to talk about Revan even though I managed to get him near 100% good  Nooo cluue how that happened except he was always in my party at all times

But since they charaters don't just randomly talk to each other in Kotor 1 I did not get much funny out of him(Unlike in Kotor one in which every time he started talking I knew it was going to be damn funny)

Went lightside and I saved the cold hearted SOB that is my "master" Kinda confused about the end because you can talk to Kirea about all sorts of wonderful things but nothing that useful

By set-up for KOTOR 3 do you mean that your character from KOTOR 2 might be carried over as a PC? What happened to Revan? Surely with the increased level cap we can play as him again ...

Bloody hell, why do I have to wait till February?!

Okay...let's field these three.

1. Revan: in the end of KoTOR 1 you can in this game somewhat determine what really happened. But it doesn't matter because he/she(you can determine sex) goes off to the Unknown regions to find the True Sith Empire.

And as for set up for KoTOR 3...mostly because it ends with barely a real ending and everything hints that you'll go off to find Revan and help him/her defeat the real Sith Empire(light side).

Dark Side: You fulfill what Kreia wanted you to become and don't go off to find Revan.

Pretty much...all her talk of "I'm neutral...blah blah." Nah, she wants you to basically go "Fuck the Jedi...there is only ME!"

Also her backstory is pretty cool, once you open it all up...somewhat hard but there are a couple tricks...some convos that give you an influence point without a dark sdie point, and then she reveals her story...you'd be amazed what a group of bastards you work with this time. It's rather refreshing.

Man we got played, we got played hard. At the end when she lists off all the things she did through you.....

HK-47's dialog isn't as enjoyable as it was in KOTOR 1. Installing the "pacifist protocol" was really amusing though.

Yeah, the Handmaiden kicks ass. I made sure of that.

Where's Jolee's robes? I can't find them.

I'm not sure what to call her really.. she wants to obliterate the Force pretty much. She doesn't give a damn about Jedi or Sith distinctions she just wants the Force gone.

She is pretty much the ultimate control freak, she hates the whole idea of being some mythical "greater power" out there that "wills" things to happen, she was a historian then a hardcore Sith who ruled through manipulation and control rather than brute force(Like her two mornic fellow Sith)

She then was betrayed by them, gave up the whole Sith thing lost all her control over the force and wandered for awhile then at some point decided to destroy the Force, depending on the ending you make its either because she hates it and/or its more dangerous than useful

Jolee's stuff like many of the special stuff is random as fuck. Literally the four times I've played through I've gotten different shit near constantly.

Though you have to be neutral...which believe me is harder...much harder then it sounds.

Also...yeah HK-47 wasn't as enjoyable, somewhat disappointing but then again takes a while to get him as well. Though I did like when you compliment with him.

Some FP regen, but it's the absurd +31 defense that's the real prize.

Uh...okay Kreia is more then everything she goes into her personal rants. But here goes...she was easily the most detailed.

Darth Sion: Her latest student before being stripped of the Force by Nihilus. Literally she taught him that literally with enough will, even death can be staved off. She depises him becuase he won't die because of his use of the Force. He is so obsessed with needing to live and his vengance of his state because of her teachings.

Darth Nihilus: One of the Jedi who was seduced by Revan and sent to the Trayus Academy. When Malachor V became the pothole of the galaxy he suffered a similar injury as you did but was able to harnass it better then you did. Got a ship and start trying to abate his endless hunger.

Kreia: The game covers her story...but here's a very breif rundown. She was a Jedi who disagreed with the Council, taught Revan, became a Sith, got excommunicated, and finally stripped of the Force. Despises the Force and found that through you it could be feasible destroyed by severing it through all life.

Trayus Academy: A Sith Academy made well before the time of Korriban. Malachor V was so consumed by the Dark Side that it slowly preverts any Jedi who stay on their long enough.
