Might and Magic 8 on Win XP?

Does anyone know how can I play Might and Magic 8 on Windows XP? After I install the game, when I try to launch the executable, it says there's something missing in a system DLL (no entry found for something related to "critical section"). I kinda fell the urge to play again that game and I can't do it right now.
It used to play on Win98 and 2K as far as I remember.
Help, please.

make it so your system can dual boot with both windows xp and 2k perhaps?

THank you , but I don't really feel like putting a dual boot just to play a game. I was hoping someone might now about some sort of emulator of some kind .....

That's strange, because I never had any problems running M&M 8 on WinXP...
... It was problems enjoying the game that I had. It's crap. Eat a handful of thumbtacks and enjoy yourself, instead.
