STGOD 2K5 OOC Thread

It's been a couple months, and I'm getting that unpleasant tingling sensation. Anyone up for an STGOD? Let's say, one based on the ASVS derived STGOD2? It'll provide a good chance for older, experienced players to continue old story lines while letting new nations form. Standard SDnet STGOD format- informal, basic limits to numbers of ships and planets, strong Modhammer powers in the hands of 1-2 dedicated mods... Maybe with graduated power levels?

Changed the title - Phong

Well, I wouldn't mind continuing the Corporate Sector from where they were. It's always quite fun being a semi-evil collection of corporations pandering to other people's every need ;)

Yeah, and I could continue my nation.

I'll be playing a new one, seeing as I wasn't in STGOD2.

As have I. :) Btw, how many worlds are allowed, roughly?

Given the glacial pace of the Dambrath campaign, I'd be tentatively interested, pursuant of a better idea of what the hell's going on :)

Preliminary tentative yea.

I'd be interested in restarting the FSTGOD, assuming I can get back online regularly. I have a lot invested in that already, and I didn't get to go anywhere with it. Frustrating as hell.

The Black Alliance should have rebuilt and then some by now.

O.K, I'm thinking that we could run on a 4-level graduated power system for fleet sizes, and beyond that keep everything fluid. Marcao and I worked this stuff over a little while ago....

minor: 15 cap, 30 cru, 250 escorts
region: 30 cap, 70 cru, 500 escorts
major: 45 cap, 100 cru, 750 escorts
grand: 60 cap, 130 cru, 1000 escorts

Limiting Grand powers to those players who want to take it, whose powers are carrying over from STGOD2.

I personally will be ressurecting the Three Suns Commonwealth as a Major power.

I will bring back my nation as a major power. Or a region.

Considering your lack of experience, Region or minor....

I'll be a region I guess... I'm thinking a splinter human group.

You should also give a rough guide to planetary holdings or equivalents.

Oh, one more thing- to stop the whole "shadow alliance of non-players" that we had showing up in the last STGOD, if someone drops out for a while, say 2 weeks, without dropping a post saying they'll be away for a while, they'll have to give a week's notice before getting back in the game. Is that fair? If not, it's not a big sticking point for me....

If the QE rejoins, presumably all of their powers will be Major or Grand, yes?

Posted: 2004-12-24 03:15pm
by Thirdfain
Absolutely. If the Commonwealth comes out Major, it's a given that the QE would be major or grand.

I'll probably be going for a regional group of rogue humans, or use the Illithid Combine.
