nvidia video card driver woes

I just give up. What the fuck is wrong with Lucasarts games? Both KOTOR and SW Battlefront crash within minutes of play- the screen freezes, the sound loops, and my computer restarts wholesale, no matter what fucking driver I use- 66.93 (you know, the piece of shit drivers that make Rome and Dawn of War FLICKER), 67.03, even 71.20, the same fucking shit happens.
Here's the kicker though, I played a good deal of Battlefront recently (i.e. after I got my 6600GT) and it didn't crash. For the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong.
Anyone had this problem?

I know KOTOR's openGL implementation sucks the mighty monkey wang. Is it locking when you're loading new areas?

it didn't crash
Was your previous vid-card correctly installed/configured?
Perhaps a virus? My mom has a virus in her PC (can't remember its name) that, out of the blue, restarts her computer!
Let's hope it's not your case, her PC's gonna be taken to the store for complete format and re-install of everything she had. Even with her NAV 2003 updated and the latest version of Stinger (from MacAffee IIRC), it doesn't wipe them out

Yes, IIRC- to a random extent- why? I'd load it up to check, but I just can't go through the trauma of another involuntary full-system reboot.
Battlefront, on the other hand, just crashes randomly.
I don't think its a virus, as it happens on none of my other games, just KOTOR and Battlefront.

I haven't tried any new drivers for my card, a FX5200. I used to have problems with Galaxies, KOTOR always just ran slow, and Battlefront had problems displaying the menu screen properly. (Had that weird fun house mirror look) Everything else runs fine. I haven't crashed in BF btw,

I'm using 67.22, because almost all other drivers crashed the biscuit.

I tried the 67.65, still no luck. It's really odd. I feel like I've been ripped off.
