got it? Love it? hate it? don't know what it is?
personally, I love iTunes. its sooo much nicer than WMP and mp3 files generally take up 1/5 the space of WMA files. I also like the visualizer.

Quite cool.
I've got it on the Mac and PC.
My only complaint is that it gets annoying when you play a little sound effect file and it gets added to your library
The iTunes controller in Dashboard in Tiger looks like it'll be a cool addon, too.

don't care for it. it doesn't just quite have the same feel as winamp and is generally more annoying to figure out how to work its playlist function.

Its playlist function is easy to use, in comparison to WMP. I can't say that I have used WinAmp though, iTunes does all that and some, and you don't have to pay for it.

Love it. It sorts music automatically by artist and album which, since I like to listen to whole albums, and all my music is ripped from my own album collection, is a good thing for me.

Never used it. I don't like to support Apple in really any way, and Winamp has worked fine for me for the past five years that I don't want to use anything else.

i don't have to pay for winamp either. itunes simply doesn't have an interface that's quite as intuitive imo.

I use iTunes since I have an iPod, but overall I prefer Winamp because I tend to prefer having an equalizer close at hand.

I use iTunes most of the time with most of my music stored in Apple's lossless format.
JLP, If your MP3 files are that small or your WMA files are huge you've screwed up somewhere.

Great, love iTunes, especially in my dorm as we have a system that allows us to listen to music that other people in the dorm have on iTunes. Getting tired of my music? Well I'll just listen to Chris's down the hall.

The playlist sharing mechanism is quite nifty.

My mp3 files are on average 5MB @ 160kpbs, and my WMA files are 800+kbps

Are you using WMA Lossless? Also, iTunes' MP3 encoder isn't very good.

yeah, WMA lossless is what I am using *stupid me* As for iTunes mp3 encoder not being that good, I think its fine. I could have selected a custom import bit rate, but 160kbps was all I needed
